Volunteer at Light Up Northstowe

Can you help us make Light Up Northstowe a success?

We're looking for six volunteer stewards to help as lantern parade marshals - your duties will include:

Welcoming participants as they arrive at the parade start point (Bug Hunter Waters)
Ensuring participants have LED tea lights or fairy lights rather than real flames to light their lanterns, and poles no longer than 1.5m
Helping to line everyone up ready to go!
Walking with the parade, ensuring participants stay on the path at all times, enabling non-participating pedestrians to pass safely in either direction
Potentially supporting the professional event stewards at road crossings
Keeping an eye out for children or vulnerable people who have become separated from their responsible adults
Calling for a First Aider in case of incident
Joining the stewarding team at The Green when the parade arrives (managed by Northstowe Town Council)
